Around the world in 86 days

This is my first post as an official lighting blogger or shall I say as the lucky winner of the best lighting job in the world? In the next 3 months I'll be travelling to 18 countries, 32 cities in 86 days.
6 days less on the trip and I would feel like Mr. Fogg travelling around the world in eighty days. Nevertheless I'm sure it will be as exciting as his trip was and full of surprises and adventures along the way too.
These last few weeks there was a lot to organise and things to sort out from visas, itinerary and the final details. However I do have a confession to make: I think my biggest challenge here was packing for 3 months, 32 destinations and 4 seasons. I'm not taking a carpet bag but the mission is accomplished and I'm set & ready to go. I only have one suitcase and I think I just set my own personal record on packing for travelling.
My first destination is Eindhoven where I'll meet the team that is making all this happen and organising my trip. I don't think it has been an easy task and there was a lot to coordinate from flights, to learning new gadgets & set up meetings. You can check my itinerary here and learn where I'll be in the next 3 months.
In the meantime let me know of any 'lighting gems' or interesting lighting people to meet that you think should feature on this trip. You can follow this lighting trip through my blog or twitter. I'm no Jules Verne but I hope I can inspire you to feel a bit part of this journey too!

Love it! I would've liked to see your suitcase, that's a miracle, packing for 3 months in only one suitcase! I bet you'll return with much more. :-) Have a great trip, we're all following you!
