Her secret is patience

Current city: Phoenix
Sometimes the most unexpected places brings the most unexpected experiences. Phoenix was one of those places, or shall I say, Scottsdale, the city where I was staying. Scottsdale, from what I found out is not Phoenix, they are two different cities, I apologise for my lack of knowledge, I should have researched properly. So when I asked how could I get to Phoenix on any public transport, people looked at me funny. Little I know that here everyone has their car and you need three buses and a whole day to make 10 miles. None of this made me give up, so finally on a cab, I made it to Phoenix.
I didn't regret at all, as soon as I saw 'Her secret is patience', I knew it was worth all the trouble to get there. It is an amazing art installation by Janet Echelman that definitely stands out from its surroundings.
Light, colour, movement brings it to life and this sculpture looks live a living being hanging patiently in the sky. It is so delicate, elegant, so beautiful that I could have admired for hours if my taximeter kept not running. I was definitely inspired by the beauty of it and I guess I wasn't the only one.: the cab driver kept saying that he had no idea such installation existed and kept apologising that he hadn't been to Phoenix in the last six years. Well, there is definitely a reason to make a detour then!
You should check out the TED talk 'Taking imagination seriously', given by Janet Echelman. If this is not inspiring, what is then?
